Medical Marijuana Edibles In Virginia

There are so many different ways to enjoy the benefits of your medical marijuana. Some patients prefer to smoke the flower or use tinctures and oils.

If you are looking for long-lasting effects for pain management, relaxation, and anxiety relief without actually smoking the flower, edibles might be the best option for you.

Edibles come in many different forms, and it may be a bit overwhelming for new medical marijuana patients. So, in this article we will cover different types of edibles that are offered at your local dispensary!

Edibles and Their Different Forms

Edibles can take many different forms, such as tablets or even a type of candy. One of the most popular forms would be gummies, due to their tasty flavor and long-lasting effects.

Tasteology makes medicated chews in flavors blueberry, peach, or mango-pineapple. These gummies come with around 5 grams of THC, and 7 grams of CBD.

Press offers hard-pressed medical marijuana-infused tablets, which have about 9 mg of THC and about 6 mg CBD.

You can purchase these products at your local dispensary. For the best fit, make sure to ask a dispensary employee what products might be right for you.

THC is going to give you the “high” effect, while CBD is more for general pain relief. If you aren’t looking for a high, there are plenty of items with minimal THC levels.

Homemade Edibles

The types of edibles offered at dispensaries may still be limited, but as the medical marijuana program progresses, more new products will continue to roll out.

If gummies and tablets aren’t your thing, we’ve got you covered.

There are many ways to make your own homemade edibles, and it’s not hard to do. It’s also much cheaper. If you enjoy baked goods, you might also consider baking your very own pancakes or muffins for a breakfast treat!

Marijuana brownies have reigned supreme for many years, because let's face it, chocolate can make anything taste good, even marijuana. They are very easy to make and they don’t take long. You can even freeze them if you want to keep them for longer!
